This policy explains what personal information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. This site is operated by Tim Tipton Jr. ("The Cyber Alchemist," "I," "me"). The site's data practices are intentionally minimal.
The only personal information this site collects is your email address, and only when you voluntarily subscribe to the newsletter. The site itself has no other data-entry fields. It does not collect your name, phone number, mailing address, or any other personal information directly.
The site does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or any similar technologies. It does not store any information in your browser. It does not track your activity across other websites.
Your email address is used solely to send you the newsletter you subscribed to. Subscription uses double opt-in, meaning you must confirm before any messages are sent.
Newsletter delivery is handled by Kit (operated by ConvertKit, LLC), which processes and stores your email address on my behalf as my email service provider. Kit's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy, available at https://kit.com/privacy.
I do not sell, rent, or trade your email address, and I do not share it with any party other than Kit for the purpose of delivering the newsletter.
Books are sold through Stripe. When you purchase a book, checkout takes place entirely on Stripe's hosted payment pages. This site never receives, processes, or stores your payment card information.
To fulfill and ship physical books, Stripe collects the information necessary to complete your order, including your name and shipping address, on my behalf. Information you provide during checkout is handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy, available at https://stripe.com/privacy.
I retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to the newsletter. When you unsubscribe, your address is removed from active mailing immediately and permanently deleted within 30 days. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom (GDPR): My lawful basis for processing your email address is your consent, given when you subscribe. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information I collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion of your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. I do not sell or share your personal information. Exercising these rights will not result in discriminatory treatment.
